Not a store, nor a reseller. I just bought too many great guitars in an effort to find the right ones for me.

2008 Gibson SG Diablo | Guitar of the Month Limited Edition

The 2008 Gibson SG Diablo is one of the most distinctive modern SGs Gibson has ever produced. Released as part of the Guitar of the Month series, it takes everything players love about the classic SG and gives it a dramatic makeover with a beautifully carved mahogany top that adds both visual depth and a more sculpted, comfortable feel.

Unlike a traditional flat-bodied SG, the Diablo features flowing contours that almost make it feel like Gibson’s answer to a high-performance super strat while retaining the unmistakable character, balance, and growl that made the SG famous. The carved body isn’t just for looks. It gives the guitar a more substantial feel in your hands while remaining light and incredibly comfortable to play.

Loaded with a pair of vintage-voiced Gibson humbuckers, the Diablo covers an impressive range of tones. Clean settings are warm and articulate, while overdriven sounds deliver the thick midrange, sustain, and harmonic richness that have made the SG a staple of rock and blues for decades. Whether you’re chasing classic rock, hard rock, or modern high-gain tones, this guitar feels right at home.

Only about 1,000 examples were produced worldwide, making the Diablo one of the rarer and more collectible SG models of the modern era. Its unique styling, exceptional playability, and limited production have made it increasingly sought after by both players and collectors.

If you’re looking for an SG that’s just a little different without losing what makes an SG special, the Diablo is one of Gibson’s finest limited-edition creations.
