Not a store, nor a reseller. I just bought too many great guitars in an effort to find the right ones for me.

Description:

2024 Fender 70th Anniversary Ultra Stratocaster HSS | Amethyst

I’ve owned a lot of Stratocasters over the years, from genuine vintage examples to custom-built “Strat killers,” and I can honestly say Fender hit a home run with the 70th Anniversary Ultra HSS. This isn’t just another Strat with a commemorative badge. It’s one of the most refined production Stratocasters Fender has ever built.

The first thing that grabs your attention is the finish. Fender calls it Amethyst, but the color has incredible depth that shifts between deep purple, charcoal, and blue depending on the lighting. Photos don’t quite capture it. Combined with the roasted maple neck, black hardware, and matching appointments, it’s one of the best-looking modern Strats Fender has produced.

Then you pick it up.

The sculpted alder body, tapered neck heel, and silky-smooth Modern “D” roasted maple neck make this guitar feel effortless. The compound 10″-14″ fingerboard radius is equally at home playing open chords or bending high notes without fretting out. Everything about the guitar feels like Fender took seventy years of player feedback and rolled it into one instrument.

The HSS pickup configuration makes this an incredibly versatile Strat. The pair of 70th Anniversary Ultra Noiseless™ single coils deliver the classic Strat sparkle without the traditional hum, while the new Ultra Quadra Tap™ bridge humbucker provides everything from vintage-inspired tones to modern high-gain punch. Fender’s dual S-1 switching system opens up an impressive range of additional voices, giving you far more tonal options than a traditional Stratocaster.

Hardware is equally impressive. Locking tuners, a two-point Deluxe synchronized tremolo with pop-in arm, bone nut, and beautifully finished roasted maple neck all come together to create a guitar that stays in tune, plays effortlessly, and feels every bit like Fender’s flagship production model. It also includes the original black tweed hardshell case with embroidered 70th Anniversary logo.

The only reason I’m offering this one is the same reason several guitars from my collection have found their way to GuitarFight. I simply own more guitars than I can realistically play, and I’d rather see an instrument like this getting the attention it deserves than spending most of its life in a case.

If you’re looking for what many players consider the ultimate modern Stratocaster, this limited-production 70th Anniversary Ultra HSS deserves a serious look.
