2024 Jackson USA Custom Shop Soloist – Absinthe Frost
Handcrafted in the legendary Jackson Custom Shop, the 2024 Soloist in Absinthe Frost is pure high-performance venom wrapped in an otherworldly finish. Built with a neck-through quartersawn maple neck for unmatched stability and speed, an ebony fingerboard loaded with classic pearl sharkfin inlays, and a compound-radius (12″-16″) playing surface, this Soloist was made for shredders who refuse to compromise. The Original Floyd Rose tremolo system delivers flawless dive bombs and rock-solid tuning, while premium Seymour Duncan humbuckers (or HS configurations in select builds) serve up aggressive, articulate tones that slice through the mix with surgical precision.

So I’ve been trying to replace my beloved 1986 Jackson Custom Shop guitar for about twenty years now. I bought this guitar as a contender, brought it home and played it for maybe 15 minutes. Although it is unquestionably a GREAT guitar, I find I personally was not comfortable with the reverse headstock, the frets are larger than my ’86, and the neck is shaped a wee bit different. It is still in New condition, I do not see a scratch on it.
